In the mid-1990s, The New York Times described Larry Goldings, Peter Bernstein, and Bill Stewart as “the best organ trio of the last decade.” The trio, which has now been together for over 30 years, has been recognized for charting new ground with its synergistic playing and thoughtful music. They have over a dozen recordings, all of which display their distinctive sound, whether exploring the depths of jazz standards or playing their own original compositions.

Of their newest offering, Toy Tunes (Pirouet), Downbeat said, “The whole album subtly subverts organ-trio cliches, offering not chicken-shack party stomps but instead some hip after-hours atmospherics…4 stars”

Larry Goldings is a Grammy-nominated pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger. In addition to being recognized as one of the world's top jazz organists, his recording talents have been sought-after by an impressive range of musicians including James Taylor, Norah Jones, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Madeleine Peyroux, Melody Gardot, and Tracy Chapman. He has recorded 18 albums as a leader, many of which feature his long-time band mates, Peter Bernstein and Bill Stewart, and hundreds more as a sideman, and has collaborated on a long-term basis with Maceo Parker, Jim Hall, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, and James Taylor.

In 2007, Goldings received a Grammy nomination (Best Instrumental Jazz Album of the Year) for his live album Trio Beyond - Saudades (ECM) with John Scofield and Jack DeJohnette. His compositions have been recorded by Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Toots Thielemans, Jim Hall, Bob Dorough, Gaby Moreno, Jane Monheit, Spencer Day, Curtis Stigers, Mike Viola, and others.

Goldings just completed scoring his first feature film "Dealin' With Idiots," written and directed by Jeff Garlin. He appears and performs in the Clint Eastwood documentary, "Johnny Mercer: The Dream's On Me." His music also graces the soundtracks of "Space Cowboys," "Proof," "The Office," and the Judd Apatow film "Funny People."

Peter Bernstein is an American jazz guitarist. Born in New York City on September 3, 1967, Bernstein began playing piano when he was eight but switched to guitar when he was thirteen, learning the instrument primarily by ear. He studied jazz at Rutgers University with Ted Dunbar, and Kenny Barron. While a student at the New School in New York City, he met guitarist Jim Hall, who offered him a job performing at the JVC Jazz Festival in 1990. He then appeared on albums with Jesse Davis, Lou Donaldson, Larry Goldings, Michael Hashim, Geoff Keezer, and Melvin Rhyne.
