For Inspirational Vibes, we are honoured to feature two extraordinary Bay Area musical powerhouses whose influence spans generations. Grammy-winning producer, composer, and keyboard virtuoso Carl Wheeler began arranging music and conducting interviews at just eleven years old on the Bay Area television program Just Kidding. As a founding member, keyboardist, and musical director of Tony Toni Toné, Carl co-wrote and helped shape iconic number one hits including “Feel Good,” “Whatever You Want,” and the Grammy-nominated classic “Anniversary.” With a career that includes touring 23 years with Frankie Beverly and Maze and collaborating with legends such as Prince, Alicia Keys, Bobby McFerrin, and Green Day, Carl is a master producer, engineer, choir director, and studio owner whose faith and Oakland roots remain central to his artistry. Joining him is Stellar Award-nominated and multi-award-winning saxophonist Kevin Moore, known for his smooth, soothing, and spirit-lifting sound. Featured alongside artists such as David Sanborn and Vanessa Williams and having shared the stage with Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, and Fred Hammond, Kevin plays from the heart with a testimony that flows through every note. Together, these two gifted musicians bring excellence, soul, and authentic inspiration to the stage.
